The Scottish Start of the Rallye Monte Carlo Historique will once more be Paisley Abbey, which provides the most stunning backdrop of any of the Start Towns around Europe. The Scottish Start will once again offer competitors the best experience of all the Start Towns with a warm welcome, Scottish hospitality and the noisiest and liveliest send off as the cars leave the Start Ramp. The first car will leave the Start Ramp at 6.00pm on 31 January 2018 to the cheers of thousands of spectators.

A list of cars eligible to enter can be found in the regulations at Appendix V. Cars which competed in the Monte Carlo Rallyes between 1955 and 1980 will be considered. Decisions regarding the eligibility of cars is taken by the organizing club, the Automobile Club de Monaco, however the earlier the vehicle and more unusual are likely to be looked on more favourably. The Rallye is always over-subscribed, however competitors choosing the Glasgow (Paisley Abbey) Start are likely to be accepted.
